This
is a specific type of tourism that centers
upon the heritage and culture of a country
and its people. This means tourism that focuses
on things such as monuments, historical sites,
traditional architecture, artifacts, events,
and cultural activities such as traditional
arts.
Cultural tourism encompasses many elements
of tourism market, including visits to attractions
and destinations of significance to a region's
heritage, such as Angkor Wat, and visits to
traditional festivals.
It encompasses holidays motivated by a desire
to sample national or regional cuisine, to
view traditional sporting events and take
part in local leisure activities, or to visit
workplaces, such as farms, craft centers or

Cultural tourism
is the core tourism market of many countries. Cambodia
is rich in historic and archaeological sites, such Angkor
Wat in Siem Reap Province and other temples in the Angkor
complex including Bayon, Bapuon and Banteay Srei, Prasat
Koh Ker and Preah Vihear in Preah Vihear Province, Prasat
Sambo Prey Kuk in Kampong Thom and many other prasats
around the Kingdom.
Life is enriched by experiencing the culture of other
countries. Here in Cambodia, visitors will certainly enter
another world one of ancient cultural traditions, customs,
dress, dance, music, drama, crafts and festivals.
Cultural tourism can take many forms, and, of course,
Cambodia is rich in all of them. |
